Made-to-order: Nissa hand-embroidered Afghan Hazaragi waistcoat

A beautifully crafted waistcoat. This piece combines traditional Hazaragi embroidery with a modern, wearable silhouette. Hand embroidered in Afghanistan by female artisans, it brings heritage craftsmanship into a refined contemporary wardrobe.

Cut from a cotton/wool blend with a cotton/wool blend crepe back, the vest has a structured yet comfortable feel and a naturally low-wrinkle finish, making it as practical as it is decorative. The richly detailed embroidery gives the piece depth and character, while the cropped shape makes it effortless to layer over shirting, fine knits or simple dresses.

Each vest is MTO and takes around 4 to complete and will be within within ~6 weeks. This slower process reflects the time, skill and care behind every piece, while also supporting artisan women and a more sustainable approach to production. Due to the handmade process, each item is unique. Just like you.
